Infant and Toddler Program

An In-Depth Look at Our Enriching Program

CKC Infant & Toddler Children’s Center

Our Staff

Our team of highly qualified teachers, teacher assistants, and site director have specialized training in early childhood education, with a focus on infant and toddler development.

Open-Doors

We maintain an open-door policy, welcoming parents to visit their children in the program at any time. Feel free to spend time in the infant room or observe during nap-time.

Meals

In our infant program, families are responsible for providing their child's meals.

For toddlers, we offer morning and afternoon snacks. Families provide lunch for their child.

Our monthly toddler snack menu is available on our parent board.

Graduates

For those wishing to stay with CKC through the preschool years, we offer the ability to transfer to one of our preschool programs based on readiness and availability. Children transfer to preschool between 24-36 months.

Nurturing Growth in the Infant Room

The Infant room serves the children 6 months - 24 months old.

  • Before the start date, we collaborate with the child's guardian(s) to establish tailored Infant Needs and Service Plans. This personalized approach ensures we meet each child's unique requirements and align their care with their home schedule.

  • As a way to support infants trying new foods, families provide the meals and bottles in the infant room eat each day.

  • Age appropriate materials are provided for the infants to explore; these include materials safe for them to mouth, drop and roll.

  • Relationships are a foundation of our program, we strive to build deep and meaningful connections with each individual while supporting them to be successful in group care.

Nurturing Development in Toddler Room

Our Toddler room serves children 18-36 months of age. In a safe and nurturing environment, your little adventurer will gain language skills, build friendships, and develop confidence in their new found abilities.

  • We foster developmental growth by providing ample time for self guided play and materials exploration.

  • Toddlers begin joining in group gatherings, circle time and more hands on teacher led activities.

  • Now that many toddlers have tried a variety of foods, they begin eating from our menu of home cooked snacks and lunches. Meal times provide an opportunity for community building and learning about others.
